The Construction Business Initiatives group leads CU Grow: Vendor Development Program, supporting small, local, and SEDI-owned businesses within Columbia Facilities and Operations.
Since its launch in 2017, CU Grow has delivered measurable, high‑value impact:
- 176 buisinesses have successfully graduated from the program
- 58 graduates have been awarded contracts with Columbia
- $213 million in contract opportunities,including both direct awards and subcontracting, have been secured by program graduates.
Through Columbia’s ongoing commitment to expanding opportunities for businesses within its approved vendor portfolio, CU Grow graduates have contributed to significant projects across Columbia University campuses.
This sustained impact demonstrates how the program uniquely equips local businesses to thrive, driving citywide economic opportunity and community investment.
